Mike O’Driscoll

Coventry-born Mike O'Driscoll joined Williams in 2011 as non-executive director, before becoming Williams Group Chief Executive Officer two years later. Mike was responsible for the corporate side of both Williams Advanced Engineering and Williams Racing (the Williams F1 Team), before they were sold in 2019 and 2020 respectively, after which Mike joined Sir Frank Williams and Claire Williams in standing down from their Williams roles, officially resigning on 8th September 2020.

Classic car enthusiast and graduate of the University of Warwick (where he gained an MBA), Mike O’Driscoll began his career in the automotive industry in the 1970s with Jaguar Rover Triumph, where he remained until 1995 (through the company’s many different guises).

At Jaguar he progressed from student, through the finance, marketing and product development departments to become US Marketing & Product Planning Manager in 1987 and subsequently Jaguar’s US General Sales Manager, before leaving to join Ford Motor Company as president of their US operation.

Mike moved back to the UK in 2007, rejoining Jaguar as Managing Director where he remained until 2011 when he moved back to the US and into retirement.

He continued his ties with Jaguar and remains chairman of Jaguar Heritage – a trust responsible for maintaining Jaguar’s priceless collection of historic cars.

Mike lives in Washington DC with his wife and three children.
