Following his successful test at the Circuit de Catalunya bolted-on to the Spanish Grand Prix earlier in the season, Williams young driver Oliver Rowland is back in the hot-seat for Williams in the last official Formula 1 test before the summer break.
With his sights firmly on a drive in Formula 1 in the near future it’s an opportunity for Rowland to make an impression on a team, who, if rumours are to be believed will soon be looking for a second driver to race alongside Sergey Sirotkin for the 2019 Formula 1 season.
While Rowland will have his opportunity on day 1 of the test, another driver with his sights firmly on Formula 1, Robert Kubica, finds himself at the wheel on day 2.
The Hungary test is also an opportunity for the team to try out the 2019-spec front wing, which, given the team’s current aero struggles, could be an absolutely vital part of the team’s success (or otherwise!) next season.
