Are you a Williams mastermind or an arsehat? (I genuinely looked up antonyms for ‘mastermind’ on an online thesaurus and that was one of the suggestions!)
As the action hots up in Barcelona for the second pre-season test ahead of the 2019 Formula 1 season I thought it would be nice, rather than to document every turn of a wheel, to take a little time out from the main event with a bit of light relief.
So here’s a little Sporcle quiz for you to kill time while your favourite driver is in the garage.
In the quiz you have to name each of Williams 42* drivers (a coincidentally relevant number with the team’s 2019 car being the Williams FW42 having competed in F1 for 42 years) equipped with only the dates they drove for Williams and their nationality.
Obviously some are more difficult that others, and there are a couple of one off drives from big name drivers whose albeit brief Williams careers might surprise you.
Most of the drivers in the quiz appear on this site at some point so if you want a little bit of help, why not open the site in another window and browse the site while you’re thinking.

TESTING UPDATE: As I write this, Williams’ George Russell has just shaved 15 seconds off his best time of the morning, which is quite a chunk of time to find – If he’s trying a new line around a corner, I’d stick to that one from now if I were him! #jokes
*By the way, you won’t find Robert Kubica on the list – the quiz must have been compiled before Williams announced him as George Russell‘s team-mate for the 2019 Formula 1 season.
